It’s here! The 2012 edition of the Festival International de Louisiane is this week (April 25-29) in downtown Lafayette, LA. And it looks like the weather will be awesome with highs in the low 80s!

I’ve been involved with Festival International for many years. I began by working security so I could get back stage with the bands I wanted to see. Then I became a presenter and introduced the bands. For the past 3 years, I have been a member of the Board of Directors and during Festival week, I am in charge of the golf carts used by our organization to put the Festival together. Volunteering for Festival is a lot of fun. If you would like to get involved, it is not too late. Visit the Festival International web site to sign up as a volunteer or to view this year’s schedule of events. Volunteers can also visit our Volunteer Center during Festival (it opens Wed. at 4pm).
Also, don’t forget to download your Festival App and buy a pin this weekend. The app is free and the pin is only $10 and it allows us to keep this great Festival free!

I just listed this home at 268 Robert Dailey in Sunset. The house is solid and has been extremely well maintained over the years. One of the greatest features of this home is the land: it sits on nearly 3 acres of park-like setting bordering Bayou Bourbeaux.

The home features 1995 square feet of living and a 15 X 20 workshop or man cave attached to the carport. While the inside could use cosmetic updates, it has nice features for a home its age. It has a split floor plan, roomy bathrooms and large kitchen/dinning/living area.

If you are looking for a home with a couple of acres at a reasonable price, this may be the property for you. Visit this page for more information and more photos about 268 Robert Dailey Rd in Sunset.
I love the spring; it is my favorite time of the year. This picture of the sunrise over our pond was taken last week, Easter morning. It really doesn’t get much better than this.

Over the years, as a Realtor, I’ve helped several of my clients find their own little piece of paradise like this. If you are looking for property with a pond or even river frontage, with or without a house, give me a call. I would love to help you find your own corner of heaven right here in Acadiana.
