Looking for something to do this weekend? Check out the Rayo Brothers This Saturday! Think of them like Progressive Bluegrass… (Mumford and Sons) They’re taking the stage where Ray Charles, Muddy Waters, and Stevie Ray Vaughan performed back in the day…come to Grant Street Dancehall with Rayo Brothers, Johnny No, and Go Granny Go for a legendary night of music! It will rock.

Lights, Lights, Lights!

“Noel au Village” at Acadian Village in Lafayette starts Saturday, December 1st and will go on until the 23rd. Come walk the 10-acre village lit with 1/2 million lights! The village is open every night from 5:30 to 9pm. There is live entertainment every night, carnival rides for the children, photos with Santa, blacksmith demonstrations, food, and all around fun. From now until December 30, from 5 to 9 is the Acadiana Zoo when the Zoo is aglow with thousands of twinkling lights! Come see all the decor and have some hot coco and treats in the elf shack, or enjoy a ride on the polar express! For more information visit the Zoo of Acadiana’s website.

Le feu et l'eau celebration in Arnaudville, LALe Feu et l’Eau/Fire and Water Rural Arts Celebration is a one day event that showcases creative talent produced primarily in Acadiana as well as the French culture.  Free Entry, Workshops, Demonstration, Music.  Food and concessions.  This festival was first offered as an opportunity for displaced New Orleans artists to recoup some of their losses after Hurricane Katrina. Join the town at La Jonction for an evening of fun, food, art & music in support of this growing artists. Visit them here on Facebook.

Sunday December 2 at the Children’s Museum of Acadiana is a Fancy Tea Party! There will be many craft projects, Of course a fancy “High Tea” and after the Christmas Parade that morning SANTA will be available for pictures but only at the Museum! Dress in your Christmas best!
